De Bono: Great Thinker or Doofus?

Whatever became of Edward De Bono? It's a question most people ask themselves at least once or twice every day. If you've never heard of Edward De Boner (his name is much funnier that way), he was the inventor of the term (or at least he popularised it) - Lateral Thinking. It's pretty self-explanatory.

What's he doing? (See, that's the second time today).

Well he's got the world's crappiest website for a start - The Authorised Edward De Bono Website, who's name implies there are thousands of knock-off De Boner sites, which is simply not true. A search of 'De Bono' on Google results in German Bono (U2) fan site and something called the Pro Bono Institute (probably free legal work, not Professional Bono).

So, he's busy trying to make out like he's still the latest thing in thinking and infact urges his fans in one of his weekly messages to set up a Edward De Bono Thinking Club (you know you want to), and also pay him a $50 club registration fee.

He'll suggest topics, so don't think you'll have to think them up yourself in the Edward De Bono Thinking Club. This weeks suggestions are "The Pension Problem" and "changes to the rules of soccer to give much higher scores."

Clearly thinking up great ideas is what De Boner does best. Sadly this still doesn't mean they are any good.
