I suspect the usual 8ish reviews from the bigger outlets. The middle eastern, Mediterranean, stealth nostalgia play isn't going to push it into the 9's, 10's.
- The micro-trash-action digital junk store that'll sell you additional slapstick gear, resource packs, and experience points boosters, in a game that never needed resources or "experience points" in the first place.
- Throwaway plot that doesn't evolve the modern story because they ran out of ideas 10 years ago.
- Filler side missions just to artifically lengthen the game and waste your lifespan on menial tasks.
Whats not gone gold:
- Patch #1 to fix the most obvious and basic glitches.
- Patch #2 to fix Patch #1 which was haphazardly rushed out and fix the newly added bugs post release.
- Patch #3 to finally start improving the game's quality to where it should have been day 1.
- Patch #4 to fix more issues that the community has complained about. This is the final bug patch before moving on to the next game, leaving many legacy issues in tact that will never be addressed.
I mean it's a small world so it's definitely not gonna have the bugs of the open world ones. I can't remember an AC ever releasing early? Surely would imply it's in a good state or why do it. And the recent ACs haven't even been bad story-wise. I'm quietly excited for this entry
I’m actually pretty happy if they ditched the modern-day stuff, cause I honestly just never cared about the whole Desmond sci-fi stuff. The character was boring and the modern-day gameplay simply wasn’t interesting or fun …
I think the decision to go back to old-style Assassin’s Creed is the right one, especially with the focused shorter duration plus the lower launch-price. Not happy about the MTX news which came out, which means I’ll take a very skeptical wait & see approach …
The sci fi stuff was a cute twist but they should have either totally leaned into it and had an AC game that takes place in the modern day OR just get rid of it. Just extra cycles that could go in to make the combat feel better or something. This series is like buying on of those rubber balls stapled to a stick when you were a kid. It was super cheap and you kept telling yourself "maybe this time the string won't break after 3 minutes"...but it always does.
Lords of the Fallen over this for me that day. Maybe I wait for a sale or get this game for free on PS Plus monthly. I got all the other Assassin’s Creed games on a free PS Plus deal, so this would be about the same lol 😆
Depending on where I'm at in Starfield I should be able to pull myself away from it in time to play this. 😄
rinse wash and repeat 🤣

Meh
I think I'm going to get the beyond platinum edition for this DLC. It just too cool how they changed the camera angle and messed with some stats...
