I really am not buying their terminology. It's got marketing campaign written all over it. If Tekken 8 is the game to push the PS5 or is "finally the game to demonstrate the power of the PS5" then that's sad. We've been waiting all this time to see what the PS5 can do and they're about to release a PS5 Pro, apparently, but we're seeing games running on the PS4 where they just adjusted the settings a little and wham! It just goes the show the PS5 is just incrementally more powerful than the PS4. We just saw the demo running for Ghostbusters made entirely in CG, THAT is where we SHOULD be in gaming graphics but to make more money off tech enthusiasts, they just push it a little at a time where clearly we're capable of a lot more than where we are today and we've just seen it. So, do consumers want to pay $500 every five years, or would we rather go all in for $1000 we're already spending on a smartphone upgrade EVERY YEAR to have a gaming console that's literally future proof, that we're not going to have to worry about it being obsolete in 10 years even. How do you do better than real photo realism? You cant

future-prove a console for 1k?

maybe in your dreams. gaming is a luxury that not everyone can afford.

you cant future prove anything as its ever changing and evolving and these things would be outrageously expensive.

sure theres alot of marketing behind it, but we all know the "beast" marketing from a certain company and look where its now.

i for one will not buy a console for 1k just bevause you alone think that consoles are not powerful enough.

such an elitist way of thinking. they're just games like. and those who buy new phones every year clearly have the money for it.

Starting with Spider-man 2 you will see exactly what PS5 is capable of in the hands of Sony's first party....and each release will just get better as the gen goes on. Last of Us 2 graphics and technical prowess from damn PS4 is still hard to beat with any game today.

What is after Spider-Man 2?

Honestly we are seeing the power of ps5 already. Fast load times is the obvious difference and for gameplay that has been huge from day one with DeSouls. Tekken will benefit from that. More recently look at how the ps5 version of Fortnite beats the XSX version, because of key hardware choices. Look at Forbidden West and how it blows away all previous gen graphics by a mile. When a dev makes that claim there is a good chance they’re right and the layman naysayer is wrong.

If you don't think R&C and Demon's Souls were technical powerhouses then you don't want to see it.

Future proof isn’t possible because these consoles have to finalize their specs in advance so developers have time to get the launch lineup ready. Even when new consoles come out they are outdated but

They provide excellent value for $500. Honestly both PS5 and XSX are amazing value for the price. The way I see it is XSX is more off the shelf the numbers while PS5 is the brain child of Mark Cerny and his team. Both get the job done

I agree we need more games to showcase what the ps5 is capable of. I feel like demon souls remake still to this day is one of the best showcases of the system.

I feel like even spider-man 2 could have had a ps4 port like miles morales but was just held back on ps5 only for business reasons. I don’t feel like the hardware has been pushed yet… eyes are on GTA VI for me. I think they are one of the only companies left in this day and age that have the money, talent and technical skills to show us what these systems are truly capable of…

That "Special Style" mentioned just makes me think it will be wayyyy too easy to pull of stupidly long juggles. This is gonna get spammed online :/

special style is quite braindead dont worry, it reduces your damage by a huge margin, falls apart to anybody with fundamental knowledge of the game. I played the beta and lots of people wwere using special style, they dont understand fundamentals of movement, poking, spacing. You can punish that so easily so worry not.

This isn't SF, tekken doesn't allow flow chart tactics.this is a 3d fighter where movement is your best friend
