Didn’t snag an Xbox Series X or S on launch day? The Microsoft Store is taking new orders for Xbox Series S. This is the smaller, all-digital model of Microsoft’s next-gen console.
Reports are that they won't be readily available on store shelves until Mar-Apr 2021. I was fortunate, I was able to preorder several of each console for my friends and family.
I waited, just because I wanted to know, for certain, what the state of backwards compatibility was for the PS5. Figured I'd get it a bit down the road either way. Then my friend said he could get me one, and I sold my Pro, and a couple games I no longer played, and got $300 towards it.
If you didn't spring, or know somebody, it's going to be hard getting one for Christmas, which is sad.
Honestly, just Demons Souls remake. I haven't been impressed with either console's releases. I got a PS5 because I have a good collection of PS4 games, and the BC support was there and justified the extra couple hundred I was paying.
I typically wait until half into the generation to grab consoles, when they're cheaper, or the (now) mid-gen refresh is available.
Nice work Ted! Seen you posting on N4G for some time now, i think i recall seeing that you were having issues getting a next gen console previously. Glad you are able to enjoy next-gen! Feel really bad for all of those whose potential consoles went to scalpers. Also - when the next console launch rolls around, hook me up with that friend of yours so i don't have to nearly have a heart attack trying to get the consoles lol.
I got lucky. Even they're getting just a couple here and there. I was just going to wait a couple of years, until more exclusives were out, but it sort of fell in my lap and made financial sense, so.
Trix are for kids, and so is the Xbox Series S. I see the appeal of a cheaper next generation console, but only if it is for either a kid or casual who doesn't care about fidelity or framerates.
And they're gone. Both Series X and S.
You're going to be hard pressed getting a hold on a PS5 or Xbox series in the next few months.
I got my PS5, and that was only because I have a friend who runs a store selling them.
Plenty series s available here in 🇪🇺.
In my country, XSX is already gone but XSS is still on the shelves. You can just get it. Saw it yesterday.
