GWB says no to US torture

It's a fabulous ruling however call me Mr Cynical but I somehow doubt that's going to be the end of US sanctioned torture. I imagine it'll simply mean no one will survive to tell the tale after having been tortured.

John Lennon! Yay!

lennon.gif
I suppose so many of us baby boomers feel we 'own' John. I'm a huge fan. When he was killed i felt like i feel when a good friend dies.
This cartoon is about the dire need the public has for something...anything 'new' from John.
He's been dead for 25 years and his presence is needed even more than before.
Even if it be in the shape of cute bunnies and sneezing compilations.
I'd like to work in Yoko labs myself.

Here's a John Lennon elephant. It's cute isn't it?

Dog Show

I just got a letter complaining about the amount of gloom and doom on this blog so just to brighten the mood here are a few pics from an exhibition i had at the Coffs Harbour Bunker Cartoon Gallery in mid year.
The exhibition coincided with a dog show put on by the gallery. I got to be a judge!
Here's the gallery

Here's one of the dogs. I took a photo and ran it thru Painter software.

There! That's a nice cheery post! Now back to the doom and gloom!

Singapore Execution

kim.gif

Call me an old cynic but i doubt Howard's sincerity since
a) the govt merrily allowed the Balinese Nine (?) drug smugglers to be arrested off Australian soil despite being aware that they'd face the death penalty at the other end
and
b) this affair has taken the heat off the sedition law and IR law stuff.
The exection of Kim is a crying shame however and one can only hope that the publicity might help Singapore one day consider changing its barbaric laws.
